Research Day is an annual event providing opportunities for health care professionals, residents, and students affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health to present original research studies and vignettes to the academic and professional communities. It is conducted to enable health care professionals to maintain proficiency in evaluating critical scientific data, and to promote and present examples of practice-based learning.
Abstract Submission Information
Abstracts that do not follow the Abstract Submission General Guidelines may not be accepted for submission to the Research Day Committee. At least one author must be affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health for an abstract to be considered for review. Please read the Abstract Submission General Guidelines before proceeding further.
Please do not submit any information until there is a 2021 call for abstracts.

Oral Presentation Templates, Guidance, and Requirements

Follow the instructions below, if you have been notified your abstract has been accepted for oral presentation.
Final PowerPoint slides for oral presentations must be submitted to ResearchDay@hmhn.org by the established deadline. The Oral Presentation Slide Template can be found on the Brand Center under Brand Assets on the Hackensack Meridian Intranet. Use the Hackensack Meridian Health White Widescreen PowerPoint only.
If the deadline for submission is not met by the established date, it will be considered as a withdrawal from participating in Research Day.
For guidance regarding preparing an oral presentation you may go to the following link: Preparing the Research Presentation. Oral presentations must be submitted in the PowerPoint template indicated above. Presentations may not exceed the allotted 15 minutes, including questions and answers.

Poster Presentation Templates, Guidance, and Requirements
Final posters for poster presentations must be submitted to your department coordinator, if a medical resident, or online for printing by the established deadline. The instructions can be found here.
There are two design templates to choose from; research and case vignette. Click on Research Template or Case Vignette Template to save the appropriate template to your desktop. Posters already prepared and exceeding the 48”x36″ requirement will NOT be accepted.
For guidance regarding poster design and content, you may go to: Preparing a Poster Presentation. Department members responsible for oversight of resident poster submissions are available for guidance. All submissions must be designed, reviewed and finalized by the author. Once a poster is submitted to the printer, no adjustments can be made. If the deadline for submission is not met by May 13th, it will be considered as a withdrawal from participating in Research Day.
You are responsible for hanging and removing your poster. All posters must be hung and removed by the established deadlines. . Poster grids will be available in the Northwest Corridor prior to the start of the event. Posters should be hung on the grid labeled with the corresponding Abstract Number.
