13th Annual Sweetheart Ball to benefit
Jersey Shore University Medical Center's Cancer Center

Plans are underway for the 13th Annual Sweetheart Ball which supports Jersey Shore University Medical Center's Cancer Programs and Services. This prestigious occasion will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club.

Last year our supporters helped to raise more than $135,000 and funds generated from the event in 2010 will assist in the renovation of the family lounge in the oncology inpatient unit. The lounge will feature computer stations which will allow guests to research treatment information and connect with friends and relatives. It will also include a kids' corner with games and activities, a learning center and a television. In addition, a private room will be fashioned to serve as a respite for patients as well as host family meetings with physicians and other team members to offer privacy during challenging times.

This year's Ball will honor Carol Stillwell of Stillwell-Hansen, Inc. for her generous contributions to the hospital. She will be presented with the William C. Black Award of Hope. The Sweetheart Ball chairs are Dr. Kenneth and Mrs. Ann Marie Nahum and Mr. Philip and Mrs. Marilyn Perricone.
