Urologic Surgery
Jersey Shore offers medical and surgical services to treat urology diseases and problems. Day surgery and inpatient procedures are both used in the treatment of our patients. Our urologists work closely with the nursing staff to provide quality care to our patients and their families.
Examples of urological procedures include:
- Radical prostatectomy surgery is frequently performed to treat prostate cancer.
- Transurethral resection of the prostate is done for enlargement of the prostate.
- Bladder suspension surgery treats female incontinence.
- Cystectomy (removal of the bladder) is done to treat bladder cancer.
- Kidney stones are treated both medically and can be removed surgically.
- Nephrectomy (removal of the kidney) is done to treat kidney cancer and infection.
