A-Team - HIV and AIDS Ambulatory Care Clinic
The A-Team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center is passionately committed to saving the lives of men, women, and children living in our community by providing them with cutting edge HIV care from our infectious disease doctors and staff. The A-Team provides comprehensive testing and clinical and emotional care including:
- Free and confidential pre- and post-HIV counseling.
- Care for newly infected or asymptomatic HIV patients.
- Medical management of laboratory findings and new treatment modalities and medications.
- Continuing care through inpatient hospital visits.
- Management of progression HIV disease through various opportunistic infections to end stage care.
Our comprehensive services include:
- Family care management services to access appropriate health care services: home care, hospice, etc.
- Access to drug trials, investigational pharmaceutical programs, and low- and no-cost pharmaceutical programs.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate medical and community based care.
- Ensure complete confidentiality to all patients.
- Spanish/English interpreters on staff.
- Gynecological services on-site.
- Dental care to HIV-positive clients.
- Access to behavioral health professionals for assessment and referrals for additional treatments.
- Transportation services to and from medical visits.
