Our maternal services feature a state designated, Level III High Risk Perinatal Center, where board certified sub-specialists provide 24/7 coverage and in-hospital consultation for any complications. After your baby is born, you'll be glad to know that we work closely with our colleagues at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital.

Additionally, our partnership with The Center for Women’s Health, provides Certified Nurse Midwifery services to those wishing for an alternative childbirth experience. Jersey Shore is also proud to be the only hospital in the area offering "water birth" options for women.

Safety is a priority at Jersey Shore, so our Maternity Nursery Unit is locked and only accessible to authorized staff, maternity patients, and their families. In addition, every baby wears a security bracelet that monitors the baby's location to assure safety. Education to Help You and Your Family Prepare
We know it's important that you learn all you can about your pregnancy, childbirth, and after care. Our multi-session Childbirth Preparation Program prepares you and your coach for the normal, natural process of delivering your baby. The classes will help you understand the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy. Demonstrations and practice sessions help you learn breathing and relaxation techniques that are designed to get you through labor and delivery with as little anxiety as possible.
