Thoracic Oncology Program

This program offers a team approach to diagnosing and treating thoracic cancers, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mesothelioma, thymoma, and metastatic cancers to the chest region. Our thoracic surgeons offer video-assisted thorascopic surgery which is a minimally invasive approach. Our multifaceted team includes thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, nurses, and social workers who meet regularly to review cases and provide opinions from their area of expertise. These dedicated specialists are regional leaders who are an integral part in developing less invasive surgical techniques that quicken recovery and provide options that are not readily available locally.
