Dedicated Inpatient Oncology Unit

Our inpatient oncology unit is a 36 bed unit designed for the diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring hospitalization during cancer treatment. The oncology unit maintains a family room for the care and support of families and patients. The unit is staffed by a dedicated team of experienced oncology nurses, a social worker, nutritionist, and pastoral care to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of all patients.

At times when a cure or control of cancer is not possible, the hospital offers a palliative care program aimed at managing symptoms such as chronic pain. The program also offers spiritual support, and/or referrals to other needed services. For patients who choose not to return to a home environment during the terminal stage of their cancer, inpatient hospice rooms are available in the oncology unit.
