Computer Aided Detection (CAD)

CAD offers advanced diagnostic technology that utilizes digitized mammography images to pinpoint areas that may require further investigation. The specialist who reads the test results is able to review the image twice, comparing the original mammogram to the CAD image. CAD affords radiologists a more defined perspective of the breast, which, in turn, increases detection capabilities, improves diagnostic accuracy, and greatly reduces the need for a repeat mammography.
