About the Foundation

The Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation is the tax-exempt charity providing philanthropic support for Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

As part of the Meridian Health family, Jersey Shore University Medical Center has been serving patients across Central and Southern New Jersey for more than a century and is considered the leading academic medical center in the region.

We are proud to report that in the past year, we have secured grants to expand our Family Health Center and our dental clinic program, both of which reach out to the members of our community most at risk. The Foundation also hosted our most successful golf outing to date, along with several other successful events that brought significant funding to key areas such a oncology, cardiology and pediatrics. Thanks to your commitment, Jersey Shore continues to be a leader in cardiac care, focused currently on expanding the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) to better serve you. The Foundation also continues to provide funding to outfit our oncology unit with the most advanced technology and more educational resources for patients and families making critical life decisions.

In 2011, a number of local families became involved at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, volunteering their time and making philanthropic gifts. Many of these gifts provided extras to compliment medical care, including rocking chairs, video games and art supplies. And, as we move through 2012, you will see and hear about exciting developments in pediatrics as we begin a $5 million campaign to create more private rooms and services for our youngest patients.
