About Our Physical Therapy Program
Physical Therapists treat a wide variety of sports-related injuries, neurological, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, pulmonary and cardiovascular disorders in all age groups to improve movement and function, promote wound healing, and relieve pain. They can assist an individual in their physical recovery and re-entry into the home, school and work environment and in participation in community activities.
Therapeutic Services include:
- Aquatic therapy
- Aerobic conditioning
- Amputee and prosthetic training with a monthly prosthetics/orthotics clinic
- Cardiovascular training
- Computerized balance evaluation and training
- Electrical stimulation, including Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
- Gait analysis and training
- Therapeutic exercises
- Thermal applications: hot and cold packs, paraffin and ultrasound
- Transfer training activities
- Whirlpool therapy for burns and wounds
- Lymphedema control
- Urinary Incontinence Treatment Program
