Thank you for your interest in pursuing an OB/Gyn residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Please include the following information so that we can process your application:
- ERAS Application
- Successful completion of a medical school
- Passing grades on USMLE Part 1 and 2 or Complex Parts 1 and 2
- Positive letters from medical school faculty
- Personal statement demonstrating literacy in English
- Transcript with passing grades
- Dean's letter indicating when you will be graduating from medical school
- International graduates need ECFMG certification
- Interview

Treat all information received confidentially. We are careful to ensure that this confidence will not be breached by anyone involved in the process. At no time will the qualifications of candidates be discussed outside the recruitment process.

Time Line for the Selection Process for Resident Applicants
- The ERAS application is reviewed.
- Special attention is paid to letters of recommendation, the Dean's Letter, to the personal statement, and to the USMLE transcripts.
- Appropriate candidates are invited to visit.
- During their visit, candidates meet with faculty members in a one-on-one interviews, meet the residents, and meet with staff from the Academic office. They tour the facility.
- After their visit, the applicant is discussed. The interview results are tabulated and reviewed by the three full time faculty members. A rank list is generated and submitted to the Match.
- All applicants are considered. There is no discrimination against applicants because of age, gender, race, religion, place of origin, marital status, parental status, disability or any other factor.
