Awards & Recognition

It's always nice to be recognized for outstanding care, and the hospitals of Meridian Health have received their share of awards. So have our nurses. In fact, the hospitals of Meridian Health are the first in the region to have received the prestigious Magnet award for nursing excellence three times.

The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization.

The accolades don't stop there. In August of 2013, Meridian was honored with the highest designated Chest Pain Center Accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), a global not-for-profit organization committed to leading the fight to eliminate heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide. As the only health care system in New Jersey to receive this recognition, Meridian distinguishes itself as providing the best care available for patients who present with symptoms of a heart attack.
