Meridian Health's Code of Organizational Business Ethics:
Availability of Meridian Policies and Procedures to Vendors and Other Providers of Items or Services to Meridian Health

Dear Valued Business Partner:

The Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 ("DRA") requires Meridian, as a health care provider, to maintain policies and procedures that contain detailed information about Federal and State laws, such as the Federal and New Jersey False Claims Acts, that address fraud, waste and abuse in Federal health care programs. The law also requires that these policies be available and applicable to Meridian's contractors and agents. To that end, Meridian Health established a link on the Meridian Web site, http://www.meridianhealth.com, specifically for vendors and other contracted agents to access this important information and make it available to their employees and managers.

As a Meridian vendor, you are required to review, become familiar with and abide by our Organizational Business Ethics policy and the Corporate Compliance Program; other standards such as the Code of Conduct are also grouped in this link. Should you desire additional information about Meridian Health's Corporate Compliance Program, please do not hesitate to contact this Office at 732-751-3313.

We appreciate your support of the Meridian Corporate Compliance Program and look forward to our continued business relationship. The Meridian Materials Management department can be reached for general information at 732-751-3414.

Very truly yours,

Peter J. Hughes
